John Lee, Guitar & Ukulele Instructor
Early years:
John’s love for Music started in his College days, when he would go jamming with his school mates after class. He would also make it a point to catch live bands and concerts at Hard Rock Cafe and the National Stadium. After graduating with a degree in Business from RMIT, John entered the lucrative world of real estate and worked as an estate broker for a decade. Through the tiring hours of the job, he slowly realised that property was not what he wanted and his dream.
Journey:
On a flight back home from China during a vacation break, John introspected and decided that he will take up guitar lessons and plan for a career in music. Reaching home, he quitted his property job and signed up for a 1 year Lead Guitar Course at Yamaha Music School. John would accumulate over 3 years with Berklee Online taking up various courses including the How to Play Guitar and General Music Studies Specializations. John started teaching in 2011 and never looked back.
Present day:
John Lee Music Instruction was incorporated as a Music Instruction Company in Singapore on 7 March 2011. John started as an assistant ukulele instructor in Greenwood Primary School Singapore. Moving on, he switched to being a private guitar & ukulele instructor because of greater flexibility. John takes pride and pleasure in teaching and sharing his love for Music with each Student young and old. With his passion for music and education from Berklee College of Music, John has been guiding beginner students in discovering the joy and fulfilment of playing the guitar and ukulele over more than 15 years now.
